"Shooting with heavy costume and jewellery is a challenge" - Barkha Bisht

Unlike daily soaps, shooting for mythological show is always a challenge for the cast as they are expected to wear heavy costumes and jewellery. And this challenge is something new for the gorgeous Barkha Bisht Sengupta who essays the role of Anjani in her first mythological show Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman aired on Sony TV

Essaying the role of Anjani is not easy says Barkha, "Anjani who is known as the mother of the strongest and mightiest lord Hanuman plays a pivotal role in the life story of Hanuman. Hence I did a lot of research before taking up the role. To essay any mythological character, it is necessary to work on your diction and posture as they play an important part when it comes to appearance."

That's not it, Bakha says that shooting with heavy costumes and jewellery comes with challenges, "My character demands heavy costume and jewellery and shooting with them comes with a challenge each day. It becomes taxing for any actor to work with the heavy weight of costume and jewellery for 12 hours continuously. But an actor is known by the challenges he overcomes and no challenge can dither my spirit."
