‘Shooter Dadi’ Chandro Tomar no more: Bhumi devastated, Taapsee offers condolences

Octogenarian shooter Chandro Tomar, popularly called ‘Shooter Dadi’, passed away at the age of 89 due to Covid-19 on Friday. She was admitted to a hospital in Meerut after she had tested positive for Coronavirus earlier this week.
Bhumi Pednekar who played Chandro Tomar in the Bollywood film ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ is devastated with the news. She took to social media to mourn the loss and wrote:
“Devastated by the news of Chandro Dadi’s demise. Feels like a part of me is gone. She made her own rules & paved the path for many girl to find their dream. Her legacy will live on in them. Condolences to the family. Am lucky I got to know and be her ??#ChandroTomar #ShooterDadi.”

Chandro went on to win several competitions and carved her name as the oldest woman sharpshooter in the world.
Shooter Dadi won many awards in senior citizen category including Stri Shakti Sanman presented by the President of India himself.
