Bollywood had severely condemned the attack on filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali by the Rajput Karni Sena. The community had alleged that SLB has distorted and misinterpreted facts relating to rani 'Padmavati' for his upcoming film. Thus, they had stormed the film's set and had even assaulted Sanjay while he shooting in Jaipur.

Popular anchor and actor Shekhar Suman who was from the recent ones to stand in support of the 'Saawariya' director has now faced threats from the Rajput community. Shekhar had spoken in favor of Sanjay on his twitter account and in a few of his TV interviews. Since then, the Rajput community has turned furious towards the actor.

As per reports, the members of the community gathered at an Indore auditorium where Shekhar's play 'Ek Mulaqaat' was held. Also, some members of the Mahakal Sena (Gujrat) protested and threatened his wife Alka and son Adhyayan at their residence in Mumbai.

A popular tabloid quoted a source informing,"Shekhar was just pointing out that they should not have taken the law in their hands. But the groups accused him of disrespecting the Rajput community. He has always maintained that he respects every community. On Sunday, things took a turn for the worse when around 300 members of the Rajput Karni Sena protested outside the auditorium in Indore. After that, Shekhar received a call from the hotel where he was staying, informing him that 300 people were protesting there too. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, 100 people from Gujarat's Mahakal Sena landed up to protest outside his house. After a couple of hours, they left a letter with the contact number of their head, Sanjay Rathore." (sic)

The source also informs that Shekhar preferred to settle the matter peacefully rather than seeking cop's intervention in the matter. He met the head of Mahakal Sena Sanjay Rahore and explained that he didn't have the intention to defame any community. The meeting lasted for a while. "By the end of it, Rathore appealed to the members of the Sena through a video to not harass Shekhar and his family", the source added further. (sic)

Shehkar confirmed the taboid about the entire issue and informed that the issue has been resolved.
