Sharmila Tagore to judge NDTV Imagine's 'Dhoom Macha De'
National Award Winner and versatile actress Sharmila Tagore joins Shankar Mahadevan and Prasoon Joshi to judge NDTV Imagine's reality show, 'Dhoom Macha De' which will select the 'Best Live Performer'
It’s a musical reality show with real talent and to lend a classic touch and panache to the dhamaal and masti on the show, one of Indian cinema’s most versatile and talented actress, Sharmila Tagore marks her television debut as the judge of NDTV Imagine’s musical extravaganza, Dhoom Macha De. Sharmila will be judging the show along with ace music director Shankar Mahadevan and creative whiz, renowned lyricist and script writer Prasoon Joshi.
These eminent jury members along with the votes of the entire nation will adjudge the winner in the ultimate competition to uncover the country’s “Best LIVE Performer”.
Delighted about her new role as a judge, Sharmila Tagore said, “I am really excited to judge ‘Dhoom Macha De’. It’s something I haven’t done before and I’m really looking forward to it. All the participants are extremely talented and judging them is going to be a tough task. I wish all of them the very best.”
Commenting on the announcement, jury member Shankar Mahadevan further added, “I am delighted to co judge ‘Dhoom Macha De’ with Sharmila ji. She truly epitomizes beauty and talent in Indian cinema and I have always looked upto her… and watched all her films, so it is going to be an honor to sit beside her to judge this show.”
Dhoom Macha De is the fresh and exciting new show from NDTV Imagine which will hit TV screens early next year. For the first time ever on television, eleven of India’s most popular and established singers like Anaida, Baba Sehgal, Babul Supriyo, Devang Patel, Jaspinder Nirula, Jassi, Kamaal Khan, Richa Sharma, Sapna Awasthi, Suneeta Rao and Taz will come together in one mega show to compete at what they do best- LIVE performance!
