ALTBalaji-ZEE5 series Baarish 2 starring Asha Negi and Sharman Joshi premiered on 6th May and the show has been gathering positive responses from the fans. The fans once again loved the beautiful chemistry between Gauravi and Anuj. We at India Forums got in touch with Sharman Joshi who essays the role of Anuj in the show where he spoke to us about his experience shooting the series, working with Jeetendra Sir, his character and much more.
First of all how was the shooting Experience and how different was it from season 1?
It was great fun shooting for season one. I think we continued from there and we had even more fun in season 2. It has been really a pleasure. The thing is the entire unit get along really well, the director, Asha, the crew, Sahil, Vikram, Priya, all of us. We really had a great time because we had so much fun that we didn't even realize how the work got done. In terms of it's content also, it's a very light hearted romantic drama. The content is very easy-going going so the atmosphere on the sets also reflects that invariably and that makes things pretty cool and happy and plus we got along well.
What are the major changes that we will see in Anuj in season 2?
From my characters perspective, Anuj in the first season was very distant as far as business is concerned. He didn't like to take ownership for his contribution towards the success of the business. Which from his personal experience he realised that people are taking advantage, he has decided now to pull up his socks and fight for what is his, rightfully so. In that sense, he has learnt to work upon himself. Like learn to speak English, he goes to a grooming class. That is the change in the character. But at the core of his heart he still remains a simple and honest guy.
You shot with Jeetendra Sir, so how was that experience?
That was fabulous. I was so looking forward to working with him. He's a legend, he's superstar as we all know and I learnt that I'm going to get a chance to work with him in the second season. I was absolutely delighted and I was so looking forward to work with him and have the honour of sharing the screen space with him. When he finally came to work on sets, he was a wonderful guy, a wonderful human being and an absolute gentleman.
He shared the best anecdote with us. He kept the atmosphere on the sets always happy and he rarely left the sets. Even when he was not shooting because he enjoyed spending time on the sets. Nandita our director used to get panicked and worried whether he is fine, is he being taken care of but it was Wonderful, the entire experience of working with him.
As an actor, how difficult or challenging was it to once again step in the shoes of Anuj?
It was not that difficult. In the sense that we have the director's vision. So you kind of follow that and do the best that you can and that is what I try to do.
