Shantanu Maheshwari talks about being an Old School romantic

The concept of love has definitely evolved and drastically changed over the years. From hand written letters, healthy understanding relationships which would take time to form over mutual understanding by going  the slow and steady way, to face to face conversations which were more meaningful, to todays world and generation, which perceives love in a totally different way! Its all a lot more easy and short spanned kind of love in this generation! Hook-ups & break-ups, flings which have no meaning at all and the new trend i would say, which is social media pda to show your love for your special one! Which i feel totally takes away from the personal relationship you share with your partner! Surprisingly or fortunately i would say, i can happily put myself into the old school love category! For me, it carries with it a lot more depth to a relationship. Lots of understanding, respect, knowing when to give your partner space when required, trust and compatibility mainly between 2 people. 

This of course doesn't arise from just a fling or some social media bonding site, but making an effort to go out there, understand the person's nature and try and adapt yourself to their way of thinking and perspective of life , and vice versa from their side too, if you feel they could surely be on the same page as you. Also, not giving up on the person, in any circumstance, keeping in mind their flaws, but still making it a point to be there for them when its necessary, be with them through thick and thin, the ups and downs, and be there mainly because it counts and always will! Which again i feel lacks in relationships today. People tend to give up very fast when faced with difficult situations in regards with love and their partners. 

There aren't too many second chances in this day and age sadly, and falling out of love is happening faster than even falling into it, and most of all, if people feel there isn't anything they can figure out in taking forward a relationship, there are unfortunately no chances even given in the first place! There are a lot of people who are now more accustomed to the new styles i can say of dating, social media dating now and flings, but i have an absolute 90's type of mindset when it comes to something as sensitive as love! For me, its more about the meaningful face to face conversation to bring up the mutual understanding and trust required, than a long social media post expressing a lovey dovey message! That is what is truly powerful! 

And according to me, people who find someone the old school way, who can love them back equally are honestly the most lucky ones around!
