Shahid reveals his real equation with Ranveer-Deepika after Padmaavat

Shahid Kapoor received immense love from the audience and the critics alike for his portrayal of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmaavat. However, during the filming, speculations were rife that Shahid was not getting along with SLB and Ranveer during the filming of the historical drama.

While the actors maintained a stoic silence on this issue until now, Shahid finally opened up on his equation with Ranveer, Deepika and Sanjay post the release of Padmaavat on Karan Johar's talk show, Koffee with Karan Season 6. Speaking about it, he said, "It's really a big film and the stakes were very high for everybody. So everybody wanted to have their A-game on. Everybody was doing everything it takes to kind of be in the centre of the limelight. I'm sure everybody felt a bit threatened by each other at some level, it's natural."

Further speaking on how the film has added to his career, Shahid elaborated, "I had a great time during the film, and of course, there are many small things which happen when it's a multi star-cast film. And I wouldn't say that it was a smooth ride and we were all throwing love at each other. But looking back, I feel it's an amazing film in my filmography and I feel like it's great that I did it, it's all good."

The talented actor concluded by saying that not just Deepika or Ranveer, he isn't able to bond with other celebs as well since he's so busy with his family life. Stating that it isn't a good thing on his part, Shahid maintained, "My relationship status with most of the industry is zilch. Honestly, Deepika, Ranveer and Sanjay sir never became a part of my friend circle as such. I think it was more a professional thing. And it's not the status was different and it's changed in any manner. We connected when we were working and now we don't have any connection."
