Shahid Kapoor, a Bollywood actor, was recently asked to comment on the never-ending debate about nepotism in the film industry. During a promotion for his upcoming sports drama 'Jersey,' the actor revealed that he is unaffected by the nepotism debate.

During an interview with an entertainment website, Shahid revealed that despite being the son of Neelima Azeem and Pankaj Kapur, he never received a big break when he made his acting debut. He told Bollywood Bubble about not having enough opportunities back then, "We never really had the opportunities that you’re saying. People think about it like that, I think people can sense it, I mean we didn’t get a launch like that.”

He also stated that, despite coming from a filmmaking family where his parents were popular faces with exceptional talent at a young age, he does not believe he was similarly "exceptional at a young age." In fact, he believes he is getting better.

Shahid, who was most recently seen in his blockbuster hit 'Kabir Singh,' is currently awaiting the release of his new film 'Jersey,' following a successful trailer launch. In the film, he will share screen time with Mrunal Thakur, who plays the lead character.

The makers of 'Jersey' announced on Tuesday that the film has been pushed back yet again due to an increase in coronavirus cases across the country and concerns about the new Omicron variant. The film was delayed for the fourth time, and the announcement came just three days before its nationwide theatrical release. It was supposed to be released on December 31st.

I don't get into the nepotism nonsense but mr. Shahid, if there was no nepotism - you wouldn't have a chance to work in as many movies as of now, despite repeated Box Office flops.
