Shahid Kapoor apologies to his parents for being a 'prick'

Shahid Kapoor is a star kid himself and has always been seen as a fine actor. He has proved his mettle time and again with movies like Kabir Singh, Haider, Udta Punjab and countless more. In personal life too everything seems to be so rosy for the actor as he has a gorgeous wife and two adorable kids who shine bright to bring him all the happiness. 

But is parenting as rosy to him as we think? Well, in interaction with Filmfare, Shahid revealed that he was pretty self-oriented until he became a parent. Though he believed he was selfless. But when he became a parent, he realized he was actually damn selfish. Now he doesn’t put himself first. 

He says that after becoming a parent, you end up thinking about your kids and family first. Sometimes it’s nice. Sometimes it’s frustrating because you do need to put yourself first at times. Every individual needs to have their own breathing space. He, however, struggles with it.

He also mentioned that he respects his parents a lot more today than he did before he was a parent. Now he understands what all they did for him. He didn’t know if it’s too late for him to apologize but through Filmfare, he said, ‘Mom and dad, sorry for all those times I was a prick’.

That too is quite mature, Shahid.
