Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan is the first Hindi film to be shot at the frozen lake in Siberia: Reports

'Pathaan,' the next movie by Siddharth Anand and starring Shah Rukh Khan, is unquestionably one of the most eagerly awaited movies of the year. The eagerly anticipated film has great visuals in addition to being packed with excitement and action.

The SRK starrer has reportedly become the first Hindi movie to be shot at the frozen lake Baikal in Siberia, according to a recent article in a news source. The filmmaker revealed some details about it, claiming that they made sure to raise the action level in "Pathaan" several notches above what Indian fans had ever witnessed in theatres. He further stated that solely action sequences were shot, never before attempted in an Indian movie. As part of its commitment to provide the highest possible visual spectacle, "Pathaan" also boasts a high-speed bike pursuit scene that was filmed on the stunningly frozen Lake Baikal in Siberia.

The director continued by explaining that all of the equipment required to shoot this dangerous sequence had to be delivered from Moscow, which is about 2000 kilometres from where they were shooting. Despite being a huge undertaking, everything was performed flawlessly. They ultimately shot the most visually beautiful chase action on frozen ice in bitter weather, Siddharth further stated. The director told Bollywood Hungama that he also hoped that the sequence would compel viewers to jump out of their chairs because they were so pleased with how it turned out.

Deepika Padukone and John Abraham both play prominent parts in "Pathaan." The movie is expected to premiere on January 25, 2023.
