Shah Rukh Khan recently proved he is a hero in true sense! The superstar's brave act of saving Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's manager, Archana Sadanand after her clothes suddenly caught fire at the Diwali bash held in Jalsa is being lauded by everyone.
For those unaware, it so happened, Archana was in the garden area with her daughter when her Lehenga caught fire. Seeing the clothes burning, Shah Rukh immediately rushed towards her and jumped in to rescue her. He was so adamant to save the lady that not even for a mini second did he think about injuring himself. He instantly removed his jacket and started to put out the fire with it. While doing so he himself got some minor injuries.
As per a report in Mid-Day, soon after SRK put out the fire Archana was rushed to Nanavati hospital in the wee hours of the night and was admitted to the ICU to prevent any further infections. The doctor informed the daily that she sustained 15 per cent burns.
A close source has revealed to Mid-Day, “It was just after 3 am and a few guests were still around. Archana was with her daughter in the courtyard when her lehenga caught fire. Those around were stunned and didn't know what to do. Shah Rukh had the presence of mind, rushed to Archana, and put out the fire. He, too, sustained minor burns while dousing the flames with a jacket. His only thought was to put out the fire.”
The report even had a statement from Additional Commissioner of Police (West) Manoj Kumar Sharma that mentioned Archana confirming the unfortunate incident.
As per sources, Aishwarya Rai's manager Archana was involved in a fire accident at the Bachchan's Diwali party. She was talking to a filmmaker when her clothes caught fire. It seems Shah Rukh and Jaaved Jaaferi helped in dousing the fire. She has been taken to the hospital and at present in the ICU. Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan were present at the party which was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan. Many of the other stars were also present. But the incident took place very late and many of them had left by then.
Filmmaker Farah Khan took to her social media to laud SRK for his heroic act and has called him "mohabbatman to the rescue". She wrote: "@iamsrk mohabbatman to the rescue ! Praying for Archana ‘s speedy recovery "
