Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan are all set to roar as Simba and Mufasa!

The King of Bollywood will voice The King of the Jungle along with his son Aryan Khan!

SRK and Aryan to dub for Musafa and Simba

It was 15-years-ago, when Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan had first collaborated and dubbed the Hindi version of Disney Pixar’s The Incredibles. While Shah Rukh had been the voice of Mr. Lajawab (Mr. Incredible), Aryan had dubbed for his 7-year-old son Tez (Dash). Now, after more than a decade the father-son duo are set to make a dynamic return on-screen as they will be voicing the legendary characters of Mufasa and Simba for Disney’s The Lion King.

The Lion King is the story of a lion cub Simba, who adores and respects his father Mufasa. When Mufasa is later murdered by his uncle Scar, Simba is led to believe that the reason for his father’s murder was him and he flees into exile. Hence, starts the journey of Simba…

Early on Monday morning, Disney Film India broke the news to the world but on Sunday Shah Rukh did drop a huge hint about the collaboration even as he cheered for India as they went on to play Pakistan. King Khan too his official social media handle and shared a picture alongside Aryan. In the picture it is clearly seen the father-son duo was sporting jerseys with Mufasa and Simba printed on it. SRK wrote, “Ready for the match with the spirit of #FathersDay. Go India Go!!”

While it was an adorable Father’s Day post, it wasn’t until Walt Disney's announcement, that the picture became even more special. SRK even shared the posters of the upcoming movie through his official social media handle. He wrote, “Glad to be a part of this journey... a timeless film. Voicing it in Hindi with my own Simba. The last time we did a film was around 15 years ago and it was ‘Incredible’ and this time around its even more fun. Hope everyone enjoys it 19th July onwards. #TheLionKing”

The live-action version of The Lion King is directed by Jon Favreau, the director of the all-time blockbuster The Jungle Book. The movie is set to release on 19th July 2019 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
