Actor Saurabh Pandey who is seen as Lord Krishna in Sony TV's Suryaputra Karn recently visited Kurukshetra. This is the same famous historical place where the war of Mahabharat was fought. It was also on this land that the Holy book of Hindus, The Bhagavad Gita was preached by Krishna to Arjun when he found the later in a terrible during the war.
Situated in Haryana, this place is also called as Dharamkshetra or the Holy Land. Saurabh visited the land where the epic battle of Mahabharata took place and also visited some ancient temples.
The places include Staneshwer Mahadev Temple (Where Pandavas along with Krishna, prayed to Lord Shiva and got blessed by him to win the war) and Jyoti Sagar (where Krishna spoke and explained Bhagwat Gita to Arjun under a Banyan tree which exists till date) followed by the Bheeshma Kund (from where Ganga sprung up when Arjun shot an arrow to the ground to quench the thirst of Bheesma, who was lying on a bed of arrows) and in the last, Bhramha Sarovar (It is said that Bhramha made the entire universe out of the holy water).
We spoke to actor, who told us, ''When you are shooting a six-day daily soap, you cannot plan anything in advance. Going to Kurukshetra just happened out of the blue. It was a superb feeling being at the place and getting to know things in detail."
