Satrangi Sasural to go off air!

The Zee TV show, which started off with a great concept, that of a married woman dealing with not one but seven mother-in-laws, is sadly going off air. The show's 6 pm slot will now be taken up by Sarojini.

We contacted Farida Jalal who said, "It is sad that the show is going off air. One gets used to the people on the set. Relationships are formed. So it is a very sad feeling."

The show's unique concept did attract many viewers but over the time, the show's content became the same old run of the mill kinds. Infact, the main reason for the show's original leads, first Mugdha Chapekar and now Ravish Desai, quitting the show was creative dissatisfaction.

Mugdha was replaced by Vrushika Mehta but Ravish Desai continued for sometime. With him quitting the show now, Ek Ghar Banaunga actor Rahul Sharma was brought on board as the main lead opposite Vrushika.

Looks like despite many attempts to climb the TRP chart, the show failed to do so.
