In a career span of more than four decades actor Satish Kaushik continues to have an impeccable history of characters in his arsenal. He started off his career as an assistant director to Shekhar Kapoor in the film Masoom (1983). Today (August 10) is also the day when he first came to Mumbai and enjoyed his first morning leaving Delhi to become an actor. 

Kaushik recalled his first visit and even shared a picture of him standing by a Train at a railway platform. Sharing the picture he wrote; “I came to mumbai to become an actor on 9th Aug 1979 by Paschim Express.10th Aug was first morning in Mumbai.Mumbai gave Work,Friends,Wife, Kids,Home, Love,Warmth, Struggle,Success,Failures & Courage to live Happily.Good Morning Mumbai & All who gave me more than I dreamt . Thx”

Meanwhile, Satish’s friend and filmmaker Shekhar Kapur retweeted the picture and shared an anecdote from the sets of Masoom. He wrote, "Remember, Satish, when you were assisting me on Masoom, you asked that if I had to shout at anyone, I should shout at you? Why I asked. Will never forget your reply. 'Because as an assistant, how else would people notice me?' (sic)."
