Sara Khan: On OTT, you won’t find any sort of discrimination

India Forums got in touch with Sara, who plays the role of Aisha, for a quick chat and here's the conversation we had with her.

What do you think about the boom in OTT space by and large?

This was very important for a country like India wherein, breaking the stereotypes of Bollywood films, now, you can have much better content via the OTT medium! Through OTT, more talent across the board zfd getting more opportunities. On OTT, you won’t find any sort of discrimination. People are not discriminating that this one is on TV or OTT; everyone is out there, watching and appreciating! OTT brought everyone together like in Hollywood, same actors work on TV, OTT & films.

There are a bunch of thrillers, what sets this apart?

The fact that the show is inspired by real life incidents makes it intriguing. We never knew in the dark past about these gruesome incidents and how they would affect the victim. It’s all shades of cruel and we want the audiences to be aware of these crimes. 

What are the kinds of roles and subjects/genres you wish to explore?

I don't have any limitations as an actor and I wish to try different characters. But if you ask me in specific; I would say I am quite attracted to play a character in a grey zone- like a Psycho Killer maybe! Also, since you’ve asked, I could see myself portraying a role an Action-Pack heroine!
