Yes it is Christmas today and all are in a festive mood to celebrate this happy and beautiful occasion across the world. As this is a special day, Tellybuzz decided to put forth certain questions about their memories and how they spend their D Day. Along with that we popped up a general question regarding Christmas.

Pushtiie:Your ideal Christmas present (to get): A new house in Goa or on a mountain in Himachal.

What do you like to eat most during Christmas? Since I am a complete Vegetarian, there is nothing special that I eat during Christmas. But I love having chocolates.  

How do you normally spend your Christmas? I spend my time cleaning up my house and stuffs. I like to spend such occasions with myself recollecting and relishing all the memories. Since I maintain a diary, I read it and enjoy myself. Since I am not a party person, I do not go out and my friends always used to get irritated with it. I decorate my room with stuffs like bells, reeks, cherries and angels and also shiny disco balls. 

Any childhood memory of Christmas? Not much, but I remember once when I celebrated the day in my cousin's place in Baroda from where I got the Christmas gift from Santa, i.e. my uncle. I think I had got a book that I wanted very badly at that time.

Your ideal Christmas present (to get): Blessings from my mom, dad and from all my elders.

What do you like to eat most during Christmas? I have eaten cakes and pastries so much that I am not fantasized to that extent to go gaga over it. I like eating Plum Cakes.

How do you normally spend your Christmas? Even though my dad is a Catholic, I was completely brought up in the Brahmin lifestyle which is aligned to my mom. Hence I hardly go to the Church. Normally I spend the day with my family going out for lunch or dinner. But this time I am so packed up with work that I am doubtful about it as our show has been extended till Saturday.  

Any childhood memory of Christmas?
My granny used to keep Christmas presents under the pillow and I still have a gold coin that she gave with my name engraved on it.

Your ideal Christmas present (to get) Right now a very long vacation probably to Italy and stay in a villa

What do you like to eat most during Christmas? I am a complete foodie and love to eat all kinds of food even cakes, chocolates and I feel that this is the perfect festival time, which begins from Diwali, wherein Indians completely fall over food and sweets.

How do you normally spend your Christmas? When I had time and when I could, I used to go for Mass with my friends at Mother Mary Church in Bandra but now it is only work.

Any childhood memory of Christmas?  During my school days in Delhi, we used to get gifts from Santa Claus, which was actually my teacher; also there used to be a massive Christmas tree leaned near a huge wall. I was also there in the school choir and have also participated in a play for which I enacted Mary.

Your ideal Christmas present (to get): A puppy, mostly a spaniel because I lost my dog three months back.

What do you like to eat most during Christmas? Normally I eat everything and I am not choosy about anything.  I like having cakes and recently I had a yummy rum cake at my Catholic friend's house.

How do you normally spend your Christmas? Generally it is a working day for me and I feel that in India the festival is not taken so seriously. This year I will be going to Goa with my family for a show and after the performance, I will spend my day with them.

Any childhood memory of Christmas? My parents were never into celebrating the festival but I used to enjoy the fest. I used to stay in a cooperative housing society where in there were a lot of Catholics as my neighbors. On the day our terrace would be decorated with lights and Christmas Tree, and gifts would be kept under it which we used to grab.

Your ideal Christmas present (to get): it is not just one because I love to get lots and lots of gifts and if its pink in colour, I will be more than happy.

What do you like to eat most during Christmas?  I like cakes, cookies and all the proper sweets of Christmas and apart from that I like Chicken too.

How do you normally spend your Christmas? The night before Christmas, that is on 24^th, there is a midnight mass that I attend with my family and very close friends. After the mass, there will a party in the house with the family and during the day it is party with friends.

Any childhood memory of Christmas? Earlier when I was a kid, my dad used to become Santa and gift me a lot of presents. But during those days I was really scared of Santa seeing his beard and big tummy. After a long time he had become Santa again last year and the kids in my family were so excited to see him.

Which animal is traditionally eaten for Christmas? Turkey

Vikrant Massey:

Your ideal Christmas present (to get):  Love from family and loved ones and nothing materialistic

What do you like to eat most during Christmas? I like eating plum cakes and sweets that we get in the Parish.

How do you normally spend your Christmas? Normally we go for the midnight mass on 24^th night and spend the day with friends and family. But now, the work is such that I am not able to take time for that. But I always make sure that I visit Mount Mary Church at Bandra even if I am not able to attend the mass.

Any childhood memory of Christmas? There is lots of it. During the festive time my family and I used to go to a huge church in New Bombay, which is now no longer there. There used to be a huge piano there which was played for the choir and we, pleats of cousins, used to go and play with the keys making a lot of noise. I remember the choirs, the hymns and the mass and they are all good memories that I have as a kid.

Which animal is traditionally eaten for Christmas? Turkey

Abigail Jain:

Your ideal Christmas present (to get): I love shopping and I love to get clothes and shoes and such stuffs.

What do you like to eat most during Christmas? I love to eat marzipans and guava cheese.

How do you normally spend your Christmas? On 24^th night there is a midnight mass that I attend and on 25^th I spend the day with my friends; but the evenings are for the family and hence I have time for both. But this year I think I will be packed up with work.

Any childhood memory of Christmas? I was really a bad child and I used to hate Santa Claus, actually scared. And I never believed in Santa Claus and used to pull off the beard angrily.

You ideal Christmas present (to get): A big building where I could have several dance studios and have world class facilities for dancers to train with and perform.

What do you like the most during Christmas? The ambiance that builds up in the city – lights, Christmas trees , decorated window shops and a general upbeat mood that I can sense around me. Its also a time when I can catch up with and spend some time with people who are close to me.

How do you normally spend your Christmas? Well, I generally spend Christmas eve in decorating my home and dance studio. December is a peak time for business so many a times I have ended up working on Christmas. Else, like I said earlier, I like a quiet Christmas at home with people who are dear to me – singing carols on 24th midnight and relishing on sweets and wine!

Any childhood Christmas memory? Making crib for baby Jesus- That used to be the highpoint for me and my siblings!! We used to have a lot of fun getting hay for the crib, getting the cow dung to make the pathway and decorating the crib with figures of angels and kings. I also have fond memories of going for the midnight mass, singing carols and having my extended family and friends coming over on Christmas day binging on all the Christmas goodies!!

How many rein deers does Santa have? Santa has 9 rein deers but I think he can have as many as he wants!!

Your ideal Christmas present (to get): I would like to get lots and lots of love and support from my family and from Christ and Santa. I would like to get fame and a good show wherein I can display my talent.  

What do you like to eat most during Christmas? I love to eat homemade chocolates and cakes during Christmas.

How do you normally spend your Christmas?  I go for midnight mass on 24^th and after that mom prepares yummy food for the feast and the occasion is a family one with mom, dad, bro and our pet Jacky. During day, we distribute sweets to our relatives and friends and they come home for the festival.

Any childhood memory of Christmas?  During the school days we all used to participate in Christmas plays and dance wherein I used to become the Angel who shows the path for the three kings. Also we used to have Christmas Parties for which we all used to get excited.
