Sanjay Surkar who recently directed the critically acclaimed show on Zee TV, Aapki Antara has roped in veteran actors Mohan Joshi and Madhvi Gokhte to play the girl's parents.
The show produced by Sanjay Surkar's Sarvam Communications has Shiv Subramaniam of Parinda fame writing the screenplay.
Our source tells us, "New face Sara Khan (not of Bidaai fame) will play the female lead Alka. She is a simple girl who comes back home after studying abroad. Mohan Joshi who plays her father, a political leader drags her into the game of politics. New face Deepak Wadhwa plays brother to Alka who is also involved in the family politics. Madhvi Gokhte who is presently seen in Imagine's Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo plays Mohan Joshi's wife".
"Deepali Pansare who played mother to Devi in the Imagine show gets to play her age in this show. She will be seen as the love interest of Abhishek, played by Deepak Wadhwa. New faces Yashwant and Khalid will play the leads in the show", informs our source.
Producer Sanjay Surkar confirmed the news on TellyBuzz, and said "The show Dhoondh Legi Manzil Hume is based on a political backdrop but will also have a love story too, and will focus on the manner in which relationships get spoilt amidst the political mindset".
Madhvi Gokhte confirmed her presence in the show and said, "Yes, I am playing a typical housewife, and am the wife of Mohan Joshi. I will be starting shoot soon".
Deepali Pansare told us, "Talks are on. But nothing is finalized yet".
The promo of the show is already on air.. The shoot of the show will start in few days time at Pune. The show is expected to launch sometime in the third week of November. It will be a daily at a prime time slot.
