Sanjay Kapoor remembers Satish Kaushik as his debut film, 'Prem' completes 28 years

Sanjay Kapoor recently shared a black and white picture from the set of his debut film 'Prem' directed by Satish Kaushik, in which he appeared alongside Tabu and the late director. The picture was shared on the 28th anniversary of the film's release, and Sanjay expressed his nostalgia for his debut film and for Satish Kaushik, who was a dear friend.

'Prem', produced by Boney Kapoor, is a love story revolving around reincarnation. Sanjay Kapoor's character, Sanjay Verma, gets hallucinations of his past life as Shantanu and meets Sonia Verma, played by Tabu. 

The black and white frame shows Sanjay, Tabu and Satish from the movie set. Sanjay wrote in the caption, "28 years of Prem, Miss you Satish, 5th May 1995, #debut."

For the unversed, Satish Kaushik was a versatile actor, writer, director and producer, who made his mark in the Indian film industry with his captivating performances and unique sense of humour. 

He gained recognition for his work in popular films such as 'Mr India', 'Saajan Chale Sasural', and 'Judaai' and also directed several hit films such as 'Tere Naam', 'Prem' and others. The actor-director passed away on March 8, 2023 due to a sudden cardiac arrest.
