Sangram Singh reveals not knowing about egg freezing procedure: 'Women have a slight biological disadvantage…'

Sangram Singh, the wrestler and actor, recently dismissed divorce rumors with his wife Payal Rohatgi while celebrating their third wedding anniversary. The couple is gearing up to start a family via surrogacy, despite recent divorce rumors. In a conversation, Sangram discussed the emotional challenges they now face with surrogacy, while Payal, 46, has been open about her pregnancy struggles.

Upon being asked about the rumours of opting for surrogacy, Sangram told Zoom/Telly Talk, "You see, a woman has one limitation compared to a man — she can become a mother only for a limited time. That’s why I tell everyone to get their eggs frozen so that they can still become mothers later while pursuing other things. We didn’t know this before. So that’s one area where women have a slight biological disadvantage."

Sharing their struggles, he added, "Now, in the medical profession — while I do respect doctors — 90% of what I’ve seen is filled with scams. Some ask for money, others follow different procedures. We tried very hard, put in a lot of effort. I’m still looking for the right doctor so we can proceed with surrogacy the proper way. Someone misused the law, but the laws around surrogacy have changed. We’re a genuine case, age-wise and legally. So now we are simply trying to find a good doctor. In every field in India, there are all kinds of people — good and bad. I’ve met many who were not right, though I won’t name names."

Payal and Sangram have openly discussed their difficulties conceiving. Payal shared that she had several unsuccessful IVF treatments before marrying Sangram and has been trying to conceive for the past five years.

The couple, known for their appearances on reality shows like Bigg Boss 7 and Nach Baliye 7, married in July 2022 after dating for 12 years.
