Wrestler and motivational speaker Sangram Singh recently opened up in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha about taking the next big step in his personal life, embracing parenthood with his wife and actress Payal Rohatgi. The couple, who just celebrated three years of marriage and 14 years of togetherness, is now planning to start a family, and surrogacy might be the path they take.
The announcement comes shortly after the internet was buzzing with rumours about trouble in their marriage. On their third wedding anniversary, instead of celebratory cheers, the day was clouded with speculation of a possible separation. Sangram was quick to address the buzz, rubbishing all claims of a fallout. He assured fans and well-wishers that he and Payal are still going strong, calling the rumours not only baseless but also distressing for their families.
In a heartfelt chat, Sangram opened up about the couple's long and emotional journey towards parenthood. Payal, in the past, had shared her struggles with unsuccessful IVF treatments and how their efforts to conceive had been ongoing for nearly five years. Now, the couple is seriously considering surrogacy, though Sangram pointed out the legal challenges involved. "We're planning for surrogacy, but the laws are very different now," he said, highlighting how stricter rules came in after misuse in the past.
Despite their ups and downs, Sangram remains optimistic and grounded. "Payal and I still feel like kids ourselves. We argue over silly things, but we love each other deeply. When the time is right, we'll welcome a baby with open hearts," he shared. The wrestler also spoke fondly about how children in his village look up to him, often joining him during training sessions. "It feels great when kids come and show their cartwheel skills. I treat them with fruits. I love the energy," he smiled.
Sangram also gave a glimpse into his personal philosophy, stressing how parenthood brings unmatched joy and laughter. Coming from a large family with eight step-brothers, he hopes to fill his home with that same warmth and chaos one day.
