Samarthya Gupta opens up about his character Shlok in Colors’ Apollena

After inspiring viewers to reach for the stars, COLORS' Apollena Sapno Ki Unchi Udaan takes a bold leap into the cosmic journey of chasing one's dreams. Apollena (Aditi Sharma) is closer than ever to realizing her ambition of becoming an astronaut, having successfully cleared the prestigious IASA, and is determined to clear her father's tarnished name. But just as her mission is gaining momentum, Shlok Pandey (Samarthya Gupta) enters her world.

A carefree, charming young man from a family of jewellers, Shlok's unpredictability disrupts Apollena's carefully planned trajectory. Preferring the simplicity of life on the Ganga ghats over the pressures of the future, he brings chaos and unexpected warmth to Apollena's life. While Apollena is focused and determined, Shlok's spontaneous and laid-back approach challenges her in ways that are both infuriating and exhilarating. My character, Shlok Pandey, is the perfect contrast to Apollena's disciplined and focused personality. While Apollena is driven, determined, and relentlessly pursuing her dream of becoming India's first female astronaut, Shlok is carefree, charming, and street-smart. He has a knack for talking his way out of situations and can lie convincingly, but at his core, he's a good-natured mumma's boy. It's an honour to work with Colors for the first time and be part of a show that dares to ignite the fire of ambition in every heart. Together, we're reminding viewers that the universe is vast, dreams have no limits, and it's never too late to aim for the stars."

In the current track, Apollena is hailed as the best student, but as she steps forward to accept the award, a reporter reveals that her IASA selection is fake. Chaos erupts as reporters and fellow students confront Apollena, hurling tomatoes and slippers at her. In the midst of the turmoil, Sanjay throws ink at Apollena's face while Girdhar watches in shock. The burning question remains: who leaked the truth, and why?
