Samantha Ruth Prabhu shares struggle behind-the-scenes with Raj & DK

Samantha Ruth Prabhu's latest venture involves the Indian adaptation of the hit American series Citadel, directed by Raj & DK.

In a recent interview, Samantha candidly discussed her experience filming Citadel, describing it as the most challenging role of her career. She revealed that she faced physical weakness during the shoot but expressed pride in overcoming the obstacles.

The actress said, "It is actually the hardest role of my life simply because I was and I had to do it at that point of time when I was really weak. So for me Citadel is already a success because I shot for it under the most grilling circumstances and I didn’t think that I could do it, but really when you asked again about it, like now I can say I’m very proud of myself."

Directed by Raj & Dk, Citadel marks Samantha's second collaboration with the acclaimed duo, following her successful stint in The Family Man alongside Manoj Bajpayee. Alongside Samantha, the film features Varun Dhawan in a prominent role.

With post-production underway, Samantha's social media updates have heightened anticipation among fans for the film's release, speculated to hit screens later this year.
