Samantha Prabhu shares a quote on 'double standards' after separating from Naga Chaitanya

The family man 2 actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya recently made headlines after they announced their split. 

The news of their separation has left their fans heartbroken.

 On Friday morning, the actress took to social media and criticized the double standards for men and women. 

She shared a quote on how women are questioned for their decision while men are treated in a completely different manner.

Samantha wrote, 

“Good morning” along with the quote she shared on her Instagram story. The quote read, 

“If matters are constantly morally questionable when done by women, but not even morally questioned when done by men- then we as a society, fundamentally have no Morals.”

They made their split official after months of speculations about their relationship. 

Netizens started speculations soon after Samantha changed her name on her official Instagram account.

Last week, the duo took to social media and posted a long note to announce their separation. 

Their post read, 

“To all our well wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support.”

Chay’s father and veteran actor Nagarjuna also shared a post and addressed the news. 

He wrote, 

“With a heavy heart let me say this! Whatever happened between Sam and Chay is very unfortunate. What happens between a wife and husband is very personal. Sam and Chay both are dear to me. My family will always cherish the moments spent with Sam and she will always be dear to us! May God bless them both with strength.”

On the work front, Samantha was recently seen in ‘The Family Man 2’. While Chay is all set to be seen in Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha.
