Saira Banu Provides Updates On Her Health Post Pneumonia-Related Calf Clots

Actress Saira Banu, a veteran in the industry, who faced pneumonia and blood clots in her calves, has given a positive update on her health. In an interview with India Today Digital, she shared that she is progressing well. Saira Banu mentioned that the blood clots have disappeared, and she is now concentrating on improving her fitness through physiotherapy.

The veteran actress said, “I have improved a lot. The clots have dissolved. I have to get myself fitter and into physiotherapy. I am recuperating very well, and I am fine now." The actor faced multiple health challenges earlier this year, including limited mobility. Her team has since assured that “She is fine now. All the above-mentioned things have happened before, but now she is much better."

Following the passing of her husband, the iconic actor Dilip Kumar, in 2021, Saira Banu experienced a profoundly emotional period. Earlier this year, she commemorated their 58th wedding anniversary with a heartfelt social media post. Recalling their "wonderfully chaotic" wedding day, she shared the story of her last-minute lehenga made by a local tailor. Saira also posted treasured photos from their life, including one from a hospital bed—the same room where Dilip Kumar once recovered, a detail that brought her solace.
