#SahiHai: When 'Ishqbaaaz' rooted for the cause of OLD AGE and value of a MOTHER

Ishqbaaaz has never backed off from talking about the social evils that are prevalent in the society, and off lately, there seems to be a lot of such issues that the Star Plus show has taken to.

The superstitions surrounding a god woman being one of the latest issue that the show is dealing with, there was a scene from yesterday's episode that totally had our hearts melting.

The Scene:

The Oberoi family comes to know about Devyani (Anjuman Saxena) having abruptly left the house while they are totally unaware of the cause. Bhavya (Mansi Srivastava), Rudra (Leenesh Mattoo) and all other family members tell how her presence in the house has actually done so much good for them.

All of this, leaves Dadi wondering who is she and where is she now. Upon recalling his conversation with Devyani, Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) realizes that he might know where she would be and he sets off to find her. After some searching and questioning, he lands at her house, and finds a wall full of their pictures, which of course leaves him surprised.

Devyani then tells Shivaay about her past, and how her son left her in an old age home after his wife's entry. If that wasn't enough, the old age home, too, underwent a financial crunch because of which she was left homeless.

Ever since, she wanders here and there trying to find some peace amongst the families she visits. She also said how her stay in the Oberoi mansion made her realise that Shivaay is the kind of son that every mother must have. Without any further adieu, he takes her to the Oberoi Mansion and organizes a press meet to announce Devyani as Dadi's sister.

In fact, he also called out her son and daughter -in - law to question them upon their deeds, and let that load off her shoulders.

What we liked:

While portraying a topic which is as sensitive as this, extra attention and care has to be given to various things, so that nothing callous is portrayed. And, the very first instance that touched our hearts is when the Oberoi bahus dressed up Devyani in new clothes, grand jewelery and treat her like their own.

Yet another instance which did win our hearts was when Shivaay gave Devyani an assurance that they will fund all the old age homes undergoing a cash crunch and that nothing will affect the lives of the old after their own children decide to abandon them.

The entire scene very beautifully portrayed how there are some bonds that go beyond blood, and that if a person is thoughtful enough, then their means can be put to the right cause.

We sure did love this scene, and were overwhelmed by it, were you?
