Rudra fame Meghana Kaushik says Ajay Devgn is a pillar of strength at work

Actress Meghana Kaushik who was previously seen in the Sonam Kapoor starrer film, Neerja, is all smiles as she talks about her new web show, Rudra: The Edge of Darkness. The psychological crime thriller series led by Ajay Devgn has been getting rave reviews with it’s intriguing storyline and has a record of highest viewership on it’s OTT platform. We reached out to Meghana for an exclusive interview, and the actress reveals some interesting stories that went on behind the scenes.

Talking about how she bagged the role in the web show, the actress says, “I had auditioned for the part with Kavish’s team and the director, R Mapuskar, loved  my audition so much that he wanted me to replicate everything from my audition  including my improvisations, my look and the outfit. It is such a compliment for an  actor who is joining the stellar cast of a show this big”.

Talking about her her experience was shooting with Ajay Devgn, she says, “So, the show is dark & gritty and has been shot in so many live and difficult locations and that too post the second wave, so we have been through many challenges. But Ajay Devgn was such a cool person and an absolute pillar of  strength to work with. He comes with great knowledge of cinema and that added to our show”.

She further adds, “We shot in rains in very small and difficult locations but he was always so  calm. In between shots, I got plenty time to chat up with him and he spoke elaborately about the action content and how different formats are developing across  the world. He has some really big ideas that he wants to bring to the Indian market and I would be thrilled to get another chance to work with him super soon”.

Rudra has been critically acclaimed, and has managed to capture the interest of the audience for it’s dark and twisted storyline.
