Roop Durgapal celebrates her birthday with kids at an NGO!

Pretty and popular actress Roop Durgapal who essays the character of Sanchi in Sphere Origins' much loved show Balika Vadhu on Colors has turned a year older today. The actress got a nice surprise from her family last night. 

TellyBuzz spoke to the birthday girl to know more about the surprise she got and about her plans for today. 

An elated Roop told TellyBuzz, "My door bell rang at 1:30 AM and when I opened the door, I didn't see anyone there. I just saw a cot in which my sister's baby was sleeping. I was shocked to see him there. I became so happy to see him and soon then my Mom, my sister and my Jiju entered the house with cakes and flowers. I cut my birthday cake with them and celebrated."  

"I am not shooting today as I never shoot on my birthdays. I just want to spend my birthday according to my wish," adds Roop when we asked her about her shoot. 

When asked Roop about her plans for today, she added, "Every year I used to donate some money for charity on my birthday but this time I have thought of celebrating my birthday with the special kids. I am going to an NGO 'Vidya' today and they have specially kept it open today while all others are closed because of elections. They are quite excited. It's an education related NGO so I am taking cakes and all the education related things like story books, coloring books, educational games, etc. to distribute among the kids. The kids are very excited and I would love to bring a smile on their face on my birthday. I might go out for a dinner with my friends in the evening." 

That's so sweet, Roop! So, what gifts did she receive? Roop answered, "I have received so many gifts like dresses, flowers, cakes, lamps, decorative stuffs, etc. I have also got the latest Samsung Tab as my birthday gift."

The birthday girl is showered with lots of birthday wishes from fans. Talking about the same, she said, "My Twitter and Facebook is full of lovely messages of fans. I am overwhelmed to receive so much of love from them. I want to thank all my fans for showering so much love on me. Lots of good wishes and happiness for them as well and a very Happy Diwali to all my viewers and fans."
