The Russo Brothers will be directing Avengers: Doomsday. Anthony Russo said that they had a vision of Robert Downey Jr as Doctor Doom. The Hollywood Reporter has quoted him as saying, “If we’re going to bring Doctor Doom to the screen — he is one of the most complex characters, most entertaining characters in all of fiction. If we’re going to do this … then we are going to need the greatest actor in the world.” Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for Oppenheimer.
