Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor’s two-year-long battle finally ended today, after he breathed his last on Thursday. The Kapoor family announced his sad demise with an official statement asking his fans that he’d want to be remembered with a smile, and not with a tear.

After suffering from a prolonged illness, the actor succumbed to Leukemia. As the family is preparing for the actor's funeral, the family has been advised to not take his mortal remains home.

A recent report from Times of India has suggested that Mumbai Police has requested Rishi Kapoor’s family to not take his mortal remains home. The move has come in force as the nation-wide lockdown has been imposed to curb the multiplication of Coronavirus.

A previous report from SpotboyE suggested that cremation will take place in Marine Line’s Chandanwadi crematorium. Meanwhile, his last rites will take place at the Chandanwadi crematorium in town and the family will leave for the funeral anytime now.
