Ridhi Dogra on being single post divorce to Raqesh, quitting acting and more

Ridhi Dogra parted ways with actor-husband Raqesh Bapat back in 2019. The two shared posts on social media about the divorce and also maintained that they are cordial after all. Recently, Ridhi spoke about being single again, spending time alone during the pandemic, and also enjoying with her girl gang in an interview with The Times of India.

Ask her about her coping mechanism during the pandemic, Ridhi revealed how she had to learn to live on her own since she has always had someone around. However, she also mentioned that her brother stays in the same building and her nephew keeps visiting and when the lockdown was announced, she was prepared for it after all. None the less, she also added how she just had gratitude in her heart and kept praying for better things and that is what helped her get through. She also added how she now has a healthy relationship with herself.

She also spoke about being single, and added how she does miss having a companion because everyone wants to come home to someone, she also feels that this is a phase that one must enjoy as well. She feels it is important to have a relationship with yourself. She says that there are people trapped in lonely marriages and she felt it is important to understand that one does not need someone else to complete them. 

She adds, ''It may sound bookish, but you have to be at peace with yourself, understand your flaws and appreciate the good qualities. The inward journey is important. Raqesh and I have been in touch occasionally and I know that he is still family for me. People think that celebs can divorce and move on in their lives, but that’s not true. It requires a lot of dignity and grace to be able to do that. I am thankful to Raqesh for helping me evolve and our friendship has helped us transition easily into a new phase. Currently, I feel grateful and blessed for everything that I have in life.''

Meanwhile, she also added how she is currently open to good work and wants to focus on that itself. She also adds how she wants to feel complete and be the best person so that when someone comes along, she can make the relationship perfect. 

Meanwhile, she also spoke about her earlier plans of quitting acting, and about that, she added how before Woh Apna Sa, she did not find anything challenging enough. However, she realized how along with acting, it was also important to learn other things and so, she did scriptwriting, took a few courses in filmmaking and production. She also added that the web space opening up changed her mind and she did not feel the need to quit acting. 

Among other things, she also spoke about her friendships and added how she met everyone because of work but she does feel a connection and how she connects with Ekta Kapoor, Rithwik, Asha Negi over spirituality and cosmic energy.
