Richa's superb surprise birthday party!!

Richa, who's birthday falls today, shares, "I celebrated my birthday last night. I came home to find that my sister had organized this amazing surprise party for me. I opened the front door to find my closest friends waiting for me at home. Susheel ji from the sets along with some other crew members of Bhagyavidhaata were also present. They took me completely off guard. This is not usual for me, so it was truly a very, very surprising party. This has never happened with me before. And I'm so glad that my sister did this. I'm happy that my friends and set members were in on this too. Their presence just made my day so, so much better!"

When we ask her about her presents the actress beams. "My sister gifted me my favorite perfume- Kenzo Amour. My parents just transferred some money into my account and asked me to buy whatever I wished for. So technically they gifted me an ipod. And I didn't gift myself anything for my birthday because I thought I can gift myself anything, anytime," she laughs.

So what stopped Richa from having a grand time at her previous birthday? "Well, I don't know. But the whole thing is very awkward for me. Cutting cakes, blowing candles and everyone singing for you…it makes me feel very shy, very embarrassed," she honestly explains.

The actress definitely misses the presence of her parents on her special day and tried to make up for it in a unique way. "My mom used to make kheer for my birthday. I just missed my mom and this part of my birthday where we'd go crazy on her kheer so much that I asked our maid to do me a favor and prepare some kheer for me. And it's so sweet of her, she did! It's not the same as my mom makes but it definitely helped me overcome the emptiness," says Richa.
