Rehman Khan- once a prodigal son, gets redemption
Rehman Khan who was once tagged ‘good for nothing’ by his father, is now happy that he has become worthy of his father’s admiration!
We all are familiar with Rehman Khan thanks to his antics on Sony's Comedy Circus. However, he reveals that he had to go against his family to make it as a comedian. Things didn't come easy.

Rehman says, "In my family no one was very supportive of me being so interested in theatre and arts. Especially my father was like – Yeh sab naatak baazi nahi chalegi (all this drama thingy won't be allowed). So whenever I got a prize for good acting and all in school or college, I got it into my house without showing it to anyone. I never shared my joy of winning."
The actor was impulsively and compulsively always drawn to comedy right from childhood. "Main bachpan se chichora tha (I've always been naughty since childhood)," he says, "The first person I mimicked was Shabbir Kumar saab. Since then I've never stopped."
Rehman goes on, "However, Comedy Circus has made me famous for doing the juggler act, what in mumbaiyya language we commonly refer as jholer. The tapori act has made me a favorite among many. Even the judges comment ed that – Rehman you are good for kawwali and mawali."
Presently, Things are looking bright for Rehman, both on a personal as well as professional front. He says, "Now my family is happy, they don't make a big deal of me being part of showbiz. Actually when you're successful then no one can taunt you as a 'good-for-nothing'. It's a fact. I have now bagged a role in Papad Pol. It's my first fiction show. I'm happy to be working with Vipul Shah once again. It helps when you work with people with whom you have a good rapport."
We look forward to Rehman's charm in SAB TV's Papad Pol too!
