For a long time now, fans have been eagerly waiting for the season 2 of the most anticipated web series, Sacred Games starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. But all their hopes were crushed after it was revealed that the release of the second installment has been postponed.

As reported yesterday, Sacred Games 2 is getting postponed because it's main leads, Nawaz and Saif have allotted their dates to their respective projects. While Nawaz has allotted his bulk dates to his brother Shamas Nawab Siddiqui for his feature debut Bole Chudiyan, Saif Saif is currently shooting for Jawaani Jaaneman in London alongside Alaia F. Also, Huma Qureshi's web series, Leila that's been recently launched on the app is started to pick pace.

A close source had revealed to Mid Day, “There are two reasons for the delay. First, the show’s leading men are preoccupied with their respective projects. While Saif is shooting for his home production Jawani Jaaneman in London, Nawaz has allotted bulk dates to his brother’s directorial venture Bole Chudiyan.

Secondly, the platform’s recent Indian original Leila has been winning praise. So, the head honchos wanted a considerable gap between Leila and their next big show. The series will drop online in August, with post-release promotions scheduled for September.”

Now we hear, along with all these, there is one more big reason for the delay in the release of Sacred Games.

A close source has exclusively revealed to us, one of the director of Sacred Games, Anurag Kashyap, too will be a part of Nawazuddin's film, Bole Chudiyan. Anurag will be seen playing a pivotal role in the film and will start shooting for the same very soon. Owing to the unavailability of one of the lead actor and the director, it's quite possible that Sacred Games won't be ready for release in its due time. So, it had to be postponed,

The second season of Netflix’s Sacred Games will see Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a crime lord and he has shot the second installment of international series in Kenya.

While the first season of Sacred Games ended with Gaitonde escaping from the prison, the second edition will see him seeking refuge in Kenya and becoming a crime lord. The character of Ganesh Gaitonde had fun and various colors to his personality and it helped Nawazuddin to build as a brand in the world cinema. Elnaaz Nourozi, who will reprise the part of Zoya in the second season and will showcase the camaraderie between Zoya and Gaitonde.
