Ravi Dubey turns Designer!

Actor Ravi Dubey, popularly known as the 'Jamai Raja' of Indian television is known for his acting prowess and commitment to work. He believes in giving his best to whatever he does. The perfectionist that Ravi is, while shooting for his act at the 9th ZEE Gold awards, he rejected eight costumes before he finally closed in on one that he himself designed and assembled.

At the award ceremony, Ravi was to perform a warrior act with good friend Gurmeet Choudhary on the powerful track 'Malhari' from Bajirao Mastani. The act required him to perform with a certain attitude, energy, and intensity. However, he wasn't satisfied with the costumes and felt he wasn't really looking his part. He went on to try eight costumes that didn't quite fit the bill and finally decided to design it himself. As the performance required him to do a few stunts and jumps, he didn't want a heavy costume that could otherwise hinder his performance. So he chose leather pants and a black vest made of sheer material. He teamed it up with accessories to suit his demeanourand indeed set the dance floor on fire.

Another actor who turned designer for the 9th Zee Gold Awards was the pretty Anita Hassanandani. A night prior to her performance, while rehearsing, Anita felt that the outfit she was wearing was making her look ungainly. She decided to take matters into her own hand and took her stylist shopping the next morning. However, after a couple of hours of rigorous search at a mall and trying various dresses, Anita came back disappointed. She then altered her old costume with some cuts and stitches to match her requirements. Voila! It looked much better once Anita had worked her magic on it. Anita will be seen slaying it with her performance on racy numbers like 'high heels', 'lets nacho' and 'nikke nikke shots' along with actors Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Vishal Singh.

The 9th ZEE Gold Awards will be an evening of glitz, glamour, scintillating performances and rib-tickling gags as all the telly stars come together under one roof on July 31. It would be hosted by the charming Jay Bhanushali and gorgeous Gauahar Khan.
