RanKat as Kishore- Madhubala?

Director Anurag Basu seems to have acquired quite a habit of casting Ranbir Kapoor as his lead hero.


While there has been buzz of his project which is likely to co star ex lovers Ranbir and Deepika on the one hand, we hear Basu also has in mind a second project where the male protagonist will be Ranbir again, and opposite him will be Katrina Kaif.


So what's new about that pair, you may ask?


Here's what! This RanKat project is still in talks, as per Basu's plan, going to be biographic account of Bollywood's yesteryear legend Kishore Kumar. While Ranbir is being roped in to represent tinsel town's iconic past, Kat will be cast to depict the golden beauty Madhubala.


Has the project then been finalized to take off?


Well, if Katrina Kaif's sudden affiliation to old Madhubala classics is anything to go by, yes, talks in the pipeline are indeed being practically executed.


Basu has a good mind to recreate the magic of black and white chartbuster, 'Ek Ladki Bheehi Bhaagi Si' which had originally picturized Kishore Kumar and Madhubala in the movie Chalti Ka Naam Gadi.


All though Katrina walked out of Anurag's earlier project Silence due to the presence of Priyanka Chopra in the movie, the actress and the director hold no hard feelings about the fact and are ready to work together nonetheless.


Bottom line - Ranbir Kat enacting Kishore Madhubala - whatsay?!
