In past few years Rani Mukherji has given Bollywood quite a number of flops. Her movies Ta ra rum pum, Laga chunari mein daag, Saawariya and Thoda pyar thoda mag
ic were all thuds in the box office. The string of flops mainly came from Yash Raj banners, her beau Aditya Chopra's production house. The number of flops might've scared Adi as he put a hold on her untitled flick with Shahid Kapoor. He took a break from darling Rani, and relied on evergreen SRK and the dashing Ranbir along with 3 beautiful ladies.
Not only has the 30 year old actress been losing out on movie offers, but recently she had to take the backseat for various endorsements such as Munch Chocolate brand and Coca-cola soft drinks. Rani Mukherji no longer endorses Fanta soft drinks. Instead It is the youthful, lovely Genelia D'souza who has taken her place. After the success of "jaane tu ya jaane na" Genelia has instantly become the favorite for many youngsters. Maybe that's why Coca-cola was not interested in renewing Rani's contract after it expired, as they believed it would be Genelia's youthful charm that could sway the consumers. Genelia has also replaced Rani Mukherji in the new ad for Vatika hair oil.
With no good offers in her kitty, and losing precious endorsements to younger actresses, is it time for her to bid Bollywood Alvida?
