Ranbir Kapoor on his character Shiva in Brahmastra: DJ is born with a strange connection with fire

Makers of Brahmastra just revealed the release date of the trailer and Ranbir Kapoor's fans just can't keep calm. The trailer for Brahmastra will be released on June 15, according to Ayan Mukerji and SS Rajamouli, who were present at a large function in Vizag. 

During the occasion, Ranbir also revealed details about his Shiva character, which piqued the audience's interest in Brahmastra. "I play the part of Shiva, who is a DJ," Ranbir remarked about his role at the event. 

"He is a DJ who was born with an unusual connection to fire. And it is his ascension into the realm of old astras, as well as his realization of the divine link to fire and his awakening connection to the Brahmastra." 

With Ranbir and Ayan collaborating for the third time, it reveals how good is their working relationship apart from being best friends in real life for over a decade now.

Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji is optimistic about the film, believing that it would have a lasting impression on the audience. When asked what the audience should expect from Brahmastra, he responded, “I hope that what the audience gets from this film is an experience unlike anything they have seen before. I hope it is completely fresh. The film gets over and they don’t have words to express what they feel because the feeling is only new. I hope they get a spectacle which they all feel they can only watch in the cinemas on the big screen and it’s truly deserving of that. I hope they get latched on to a story which takes them even beyond part 1 and keeps them interested in the storytelling for the next few years”.

Meanwhile, the makers of Brahmastra released a teaser in which the whole cast of the fantasy drama was revealed. The 36-second preview included Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni as the key actors. To be clear, this will be Ranbir's first collaboration with his wife Alia Bhatt, and fans are excited to see them on the big screen together. Brahmastra is set to be released on September 9th.
