Speaking about his health struggles, Rana recounted the time when he underwent a kidney transplant at the Mayo Clinic in the US. Despite being in what he described as the "most beautiful hospital," he admitted to feeling discontent. The life-threatening experience prompted a profound shift in his worldview. Rana expressed how, in the face of such adversity, he began to reevaluate his priorities.

He acknowledged that the mindset of having himself at the center of everything needed to change. During the period of illness, Rana Daggubati shared that he faced not only physical challenges but also underwent a transformation in his personality. He admitted to becoming a "slightly mean person," especially when people inquired about his health.
