Ramayan Rerun Fetches Highest Ratings Amongst Any Hindi GEC Show Since 2015

If one thought that the rereun of epic Ramayan was probably just to fill in and have 'few' people get hooked on it, that was just a miniscule part of it seemingly.

One of the most popular shows marked its return on the small screen to entertain people. It has already garnered 170 million viewers, as per reports of the Broadcast Audience Research Council.

The show is more than three decades old and is being telecast on DD twice a day. Prasar Bharati’s CEO Shashi Shekhar shared the above news on his Twitter account.

He wrote, 'Thrilled to share that the re-telecast of RAMAYAN on @ddnational has garnered the highest ever rating for a Hindi GEC show since 2015 (source: @BARCIndia)'.

Sab channels ko apni aukaat pata chal gayi Lol. Shooting ended but they are retelecasting their present and old shows on all channels so no excuse. Next week to aur bhi badhega channel ratings because they are retelecasting 10-12 more old shows apart from Ramayan and Mahabharat on DD National and DD Bharati. Other channels should learn how to make shows from these DD shows. So the so-called TRP aunties watched these shows. Aaj ke shows ki TRPs ye TRP aunties nahi teens aur youths badhaate hai.
