Rakul Preet Singh, a popular actress in Bollywood and South Indian cinema, recently addressed the topic of nepotism during a session at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Known for her work in multiple languages and her dedicated performances, Rakul has built a significant fan base across India.

During a masterclass at IFFI, Rakul responded to a question on nepotism, saying, “We make too much of it. Today if you have worked for so many years and tomorrow for my kids, will I not give them that access? It’s like saying, that my dad is a top surgeon.. but he is like, mai tumko bikul nahi batauga ki tumhe mbbs me kese padhai karna hai (I won’t tell you at all how to study in MMBS).”

She further added, “I mean No. That goes on in the country.. one generation works and the other generation definitely benefits from it, but will they last well.. they will last only if they work hard enough.. which is why coming back to what he was saying… I feel like we make too much of it.. ultimately you will last only if you deliver.”

Rakul recently recovered from a back muscle injury that had required bed rest. She was seen attending IFFI after her recovery.

On the work front, Rakul will feature in De De Pyar De 2 alongside Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, a sequel to the 2019 film De De Pyar De. Her upcoming projects also include Mere Husband Ki Biwi and the drama Ameeri.
