Rakesh Bapat replaces Gautam Rode in Simply Sapney

Simply Sapney, Zee Next’s show about the trials and tribulations of four girls, undergoes drastic changes as the production house and the lead actor is replaced.

Sphere Origin will now handle Simply Sapney, which was earlier a Prakash Mehra Production. Speaking about this change the proprietor of Sphere Origin, Sunjoy Wadhwa says, “Yes, Simply Sapney will now be produced by us. The channel approached us asking us to produce the show. We accepted it because we felt it was a good opportunity.” When asked the reason for the change in production houses, Sanjay replied, “We do not have any idea about what transpired between the channel and the previous production house. Neither did we think of asking the channel for any reasons.”

So what was the reason for accepting the show midway? Sanjay quips, “We have had a very good relation with the channel, so when they offered us the show, we readily accepted it.”

Apart from the change in production house Simply Sapney will also see a change in the lead character. Sources reveal to us that Rakesh Bapat will replace Gautam Rode, who plays the character of Karan Mehra. The time slot of the show and the rest of the cast will remain the same.
