Sony SAB’s Ufff…Yeh Love Hai Mushkil offers a fresh and fun look at love and relationships through the story of two very different people who end up living together.

The show explores how men and women often see love differently. At the centre of the story is Advocate Yug Sinha (played by Shabir Ahluwalia), a smart but emotionally distant lawyer who doesn’t trust women due to painful past experiences. He believes emotions make a person weak and prefers staying reserved. In contrast, Kairi (played by Ashi Singh) is cheerful, caring, and strong. She handles all her problems with a smile and takes care of her three younger siblings. Kairi believes in love, family, and always follows her heart.

When destiny brings Yug and Kairi under the same roof, their completely opposite personalities lead to many interesting situations. Yug’s cold and strict nature often clashes with Kairi’s warmth and positivity.

Adding more drama to the story is Vikram “Vicky” Malhotra (played by Rajat Dahiya), a clever, confident, and dangerous lawyer. He loves to play mind games in court and becomes a strong rival for Yug, shaking up the balance in their personal and professional lives.

In an exclusive chat with India Forums, Rajat Dahiya shares insights into playing Vikram “Vicky” Malhotra, a sharp and intense lawyer in Ufff…Yeh Love Hai Mushkil. He explains how Vikram is a layered character who doesn’t just argue cases but uses psychological tactics in court.

Vikram is a complex character with a commanding presence. How did you prepare to embody both his emotional depth and professional intensity as a courtroom lawyer?

To bring Vikram to life, I knew I had to be headstrong and calm at the same time. I mentally prepared myself to portray a lawyer whose words don’t just argue, they leave an emotional impact. It was important for every line Vikram delivers to truly land and affect the person sitting across from him. Beyond dialogue, I focused a lot on body language; a lawyer must appear poised and in complete control, no matter how intense the situation. That combination of calm confidence and calculated intensity was key to shaping Vikram’s persona.

In the current track of Uff Yeh Love Hai Mushkil, the family is surprised to see Yug and Kairi together, sparking playful teasing. Sukesh’s comments push Yug to angrily deny any feelings for Kairi, citing her link to Kundan. Elsewhere, as Kairi tries to keep the family together, handle Kundan’s blackmail, and save Yug from a false case, she comes across Lata’s Mr. Majnu tapes. Without realising it, she starts bonding with Mr. Majnu, not knowing he’s Yug’s secret identity. His advice helps her reconnect with her family and find her place again in Yug’s life, still unaware that the man she blames for her problems is the same person she is slowly growing attached to.
