Bollywood actress Pooja Hegde has unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19. She took to his official social media handle to share a health update and confirm her diagnosis. She also mentioned that she will remain under home quarantine.

"Hello everyone. This is to inform you all that I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols I have isolated and home quarantined myself. I request all those who have come in contact with me recently to get tested too. Thank you for your love and support I am currently recuperating well. Please stay home, stay safe and take care," Pooja Hegde wrote in a tweet.

India is currently reeling in the second wave of coronavirus - triggering an unprecedented spike in the Covid-19 patients. Many Bollywood artists were tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sonu Sood, Manish Malhotra, Katrina Kaif, Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Paresh Rawal, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Rohit Saraf, among others were some of the few actors who were tested positive for Covid-19.

On the professional front, Pooja Hegde has interesting projects in the pipeline which include 'Cirkus', 'Acharya', and 'Radhe Shyam' opposite Prabhas.
