Savitri, which began as a soothing love story of a woman and her immense love for her husband, subsequently went through a revamp to spice up the storyline.
Now that the show is coming to an end, TellyBuzz got in touch with the beautiful actress Ridhi Dogra Vashisth to unveil some undisclosed facts about Savitri.
In conversation with us, Ridhi sheds light on her journey with the show, as she says, "Honestly, it has been a fantastic journey with Savitri. Being an unusual concept, Savitri has helped me grow as an actor. It has trained me for too many things, both physically and mentally. Making such a show is not a cake-walk; every scene required a lot of hard work and strength of mind."
The actress also went on to say, "I feel quite fortunate to have played the character of Savitri. In fact, just under one show, I got an opportunity to portray three different characters of Savitri, young and careless Princess Damyanti and Damyanti donning a fighter's spirit."
When quizzed Ridhi about the most challenging sequence the actress had to go through in Savitri, she says, "Not just one, there have been lots of challenging sequences in the show. Especially, the scenes wherein I had to manage horse riding were a real good task to perform. For a person like me, who loves to take up challenges and execute it with perfection, I felt a bit guilty while performing the horse-riding sequences. Knowing the fact that I could have done it more properly, but the time sensitivity of a daily show made me compromise on some of the scenes. Otherwise, I had a joyride getting skilled at harnessing, horse-riding and scuba diving without a mask."

Sharing about her last day at Savitri, Ridhi says, "On our last day of shoot, I just felt like it's my last day at school. The emotions were very similar to that of leaving my school and bidding an adieu to our show."
Talking about her future plans and the kind of roles Ridhi is looking forward to, the actress says, "Post-Savitri, I would like to play a romantic role and would like to do a light-hearted show, comparatively. However, most of the offers I get are all strong and intelligence driven roles. Let's hope for the best." (Laughs)
We at TellyBuzz wish Ridhi all the good luck for her future endeavors!
