Gaurav Gera started his career with shows like Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi and it was no sooner that the television industry saw a rising star - The Gaurav Gera!

Today, as the man storms the social media and other creative content with his quirky 'Chukti Shopkeepaa Aur Woh', Tellybuzz engages into some candid conversation with Gaurav where he shares his ideology behind the video.

He says, "Chukti Shopkeepaa Aur Woh completes a year on April 11. I started playing Chukti 6 years back, experimenting with different relationships of the girl. Post Chutki and Chutku, I initiated Chutki and Suyash but then I felt the need to take Chutki out of the girlfriend zone to womanhood."

With Chutki leaving the audience in splits with her over the top make-up, especially the lipstick, we asked Gaurav to throw some light on why did he opt to portray Chutki with such a loud colour.

Gaurav averred, "A majority of the audience view the video via laptops or phone. When they see a glimpse of someone wearing such a weird lip colour, it will prompt them to view the video. That is the sole reason behind the get-up. Apart from that, my primary focus is not the location or make-up but the content. My aim is to go digital. We launched the merchandise under the bandwagon a few months down the line and now we plan to re-launch it in a better and bigger way."

Shedding some thoughts on his fan following Gaurav mentioned of how he never managed to get the love and appreciation of his efforts through his fiction based characters.

He shared, "There are superstars on TV who have managed to garner immense fame and popularity through fiction shows but I never received any of it. Today, people all over the world love me for my creativity. For instance, I recently received a message from a Russian telling me of how she does not understand the language in the video but thoroughly enjoyed viewing it. Not only that, the lady asked the internet savvy audience if someone could translate the dialogue for her.

All I want to say is a big thank you to all the people for their love and Gratitude."

I think they took the risk because they believed in the product they had in their hands. Kai Po Che will rock. All the best to Sushant and the rest of the stars of this film.
