'Qubool Hai' to go off air on January 25!

As we had already reported about Zee TV's long running popular show 'Qubool Hai' to soon bid adieu to the small screen, we now hear that the show will go off air on January 25.

"Qubool Hai", which narrated the love saga of Zoya-Asad, Sanam-Ahil and more recently Mahira-Armaan, was launched in October 2012 with an aim to break stereotypes about the Muslim community.

The show brought forward the life of a Muslim family and how their cultural values have changed with time. It even underwent several changes.. be it in terms of introducing a supernatural factor, taking a leap or incorporating the India-Pakistan angle.. to keep the audience's interest alive.

Ever since "Qubool Hai" embarked on its journey on the Indian small screen, as many as 10 actors have been changed for the male protagonist from Karan Singh Grover, Rishab Sinha, Raqesh Vashisth, Vikrant Massey, Karanvir Bohra, Shehzad Sheikh, Varun Toorkey, Rajbir Singh, Ankit Raj to Avinash Sachdev.

However, what has been a constant is the female lead - actress Surbhi Jyoti.

Having made her way to the small screen with the show, Surbhi says she will always be remembered for "Qubool Hai".

"It has been a very fulfilling journey to play five characters in the same show. This show has made me a household name. I am thankful to all our fans for showering us with immense love and adulation. I have loved every bit of this journey and I am going to sorely miss shooting for the show.

"Above all, I will miss all of my co-actors and friends that I have made on the sets. No matter which part I play in future, I know for a fact I will always be remembered for this show," Surbhi said in a statement.

Pradeep Hejmadi, Zee TV business head, said: "We introduced several exciting sub-plots in the show that intrigued the audience. Now, it's time to make way for another interesting story - 'Meri Saasu Maa'."
