‘Pushpa Impossible’ is nowhere taking a dig at ‘Anupamaa’: producer JD Majethia

Hats Off Production is all set to launch an interesting show on SAB TV titled ‘Pushpa Impossible’. The first promo of the show kept the fans curious on meeting the lead protagonist ‘Pushpa’ who’s a unique mother. 

The second promo of the show revealed actress Karuna Pandey donning the role of the imperfectly perfect mother. Pushpa has three children and her ways of bringing them up is different and unique. Pushpa is not a mother who would sob in the corner of kitchen and let people walk over her, rather, she is a heads-on mother and has a different take on motherhood.

Pushpa Impossible’s promo has been very well-received. However, some fans as well as critics believe that the show is making a dig at the popular show ‘Anupamaa’ by showing a different image of a mother.

That show is very popular and successful in what it has to portray and we have tremendous respect for it. While the concept of our show revolves around the tagline ‘not like any other mother’ which proclaims that the protagonist is different from what a perfect mother is popularly perceived in our nation.

India Forums contacted Pushpa Impossible's producer Mr. JD Majethia and asked him about his views on the debate on the internet. He said, “The show is nowhere taking a dig at ‘Anupamaa’. That show is very popular and successful in what it has to portray and we have tremendous respect for it. While the concept of our show revolves around the tagline ‘not like any other mother’ which proclaims that the protagonist is different from what a perfect mother is popularly perceived in our nation. It has absolutely nothing to do with Anupamaa”

He jokingly adds, “Only thing we will wish similar to ‘Anupamaa’ for our show is the love, respect and TRPs it gets (smiles)”.
