#PromoReview: Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke Promo Gives a Strong Sense of Deja Vu But Looks Promising!

Star Plus' longest running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has successfully managed to keep the viewers hooked over the years. Recently, the popular show completed ten years and Producer Rajan Shahi announced a spin-off show of the same. As we exclusively reported, the family drama is titled as Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke and will feature renowned actors Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma in lead roles.

The Introduction:

The promo opens up with actress Shivangi Joshi aka Naira asking the viewers if they remember Mishti while she starts reminiscing the old memories of her. Looking at Mishti's pictures, she reminds us that Mishti was her sister who played cupid for her and Kartik. Though they had no blood relation but their hearts were connected by a special bond. While the flashbacks are running in background, Naira introduces a grownup Mishti (Rhea Sharma) looking all pretty. However, she appears to be confused about love and relationships.

What we liked?

We liked how the makers roped Naira (Shivangi Joshi) to introduce Rhea Sharma's character, Mishti. As it is a spin-off show based on a supporting character, it was much needed to brush up viewers memories. About Rhea Sharma, she looked simply beautiful in her look, bringing a fresh breath of air with her character which is contrary to the last character she played on-screen. She looks promising and we think she can do justice to the role.

What we didn't like?

The makers could have given more details about the story. It didn't look that refreshing as the concept again seems to be a regular family drama where a girl who is of certain age wanting to get married is having countless thoughts about her to be life partner. It reminded us of Akshara and Naitik's plot. However, being the first promo, it is still acceptable and we are giving it a benefit of doubt.

Verdict

We find the promo good in terms of production value but there's nothing great about the story. It didn't manage to touch the mark of our expectations. But we hope that we are proven wrong.
