And finally, the much-awaited and talked about promo of the star-studded Colors show, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka went live yesterday, and the hype has truly been real.

The buzz surrounding the show has been huge but everything has been cutting fine with the show all set to go on-air in the next few days. Usually, a show's promo is launched well in advance, but here things are cutting fine, and it's finally out there now.

Here's what we think about it-

What's It About

It opens with the beautiful Nandini (Drashti Dhami) who is talking to the viewers, while Kunal (Shakti Arora) and Aditi Sharma's character are about to celebrate their wedding anniversary with a cake.

Things seem merry till Nandini talks about how it isn't easy to forget an experience of a bad marriage, and after all these years she is finally willing to get settled again.

But..

There is one big problem. If she decides to get settled then that would mean her best friend's (Aditi Sharma) marriage going for a toss.

In this twisted love triangle, the glances and the signals Kunal and Nandini give each other speak volumes about how it's not your simple happy love story after all.

The Good

The leading cast in the first go itself look absolutely fantastic with their screen presence. Shakti is making a comeback after a really long time, while Drashti had a missed opportunity last year in Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil. This fresh pairing is already a treat to watch in itself. But, with just saying 'Kunal' in the full promo and knowing Aditi's acting prowess otherwise, I certainly feel that her character will be the underdog who will get special appreciation.

Mature love stories are always a treat if presented aesthetically and with poise. There are numerous instances, where we see the treatment of such sagas going horribly wrong and as cliched as possible. But, the promo here doesn't exhibit that. Not everything has to be said upfront, and the glances that Shakti and Drashti's characters share does speak a lot inspite of not actually saying it.

The Not-So-Good

The concept does look novel and subtle, but there is a sense of been-there-seen-that feel to the promo, where being the other woman in a marriage is as common as a storyline as it can get. And inspite of having a poise, there is one moment, where you feel, 'I have seen this before.'

The Verdict

No matter what, the idea of Shakti Arora, Drashti Dhami and Aditi Sharma in one frame in itself an instant reason to look out for the show. The blessing in disguise for the show is that it is less than 12 days before the show goes on-air, and there isn't much clarity to it afterall; which is why you are even more interested in watching the show than ever.
